Quick Lunch Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pasta of your choice
  • 200 g Vienna sausages, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 tsp Dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Notes

  • In a saucepan, bring water that has been generously salted to a boil. Cook pasta according to the packaging.
  • In another pan, sauté sausages until brown. Set aside.
  • Add olive oil to the same sauce pan and sauté onion and garlic until the onion has become translucent.
  • Return sausages to the pan.
  • Add tomatoes and cook until slightly soft.
  • Add marinara and water. Bring the sauce to a boil and let simmer on medium low heat for 5 mins. 
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Meanwhile your pasta should be ready. Reserve about half a cup of the pasta water. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce along with the pasta water.
  • Mix until every pasta is coated with the sauce.
  • Serve and enjoy!
